Mawared for Recruitment is in need of a Tailor Supervisor with the following requirements:

Supervisor Brief Description:

The supervisor is responsible for assigning duties and monitoring the progress of the work and keeping it on track. He/she must ensure workers are qualified and knowledgeable about their roles and make assignments according to skill sets.

Supervisor should be hands-on in aiding subordinates to get the job done. must be able and willing to teach others how to perform a task correctly and efficiently.

Evaluate progress and provide assistance and direction to increase efficiency. When employees have grievances with one another or complaints about the work environment, the supervisor must raise the issues to upper management.

Supervisory Role

The primary duties of a supervisor are: train, direct, supervise and, if necessary, discipline workers. Supervisor should have leadership figures and expected to coordinate employee efforts, evaluate progress and provide assistance and direction to increase efficiency. In addition to managing all logistics cycle.

Required Skills:

Organizational Skills:

Supervisor perform a number of duties critical to the business efficiency, and act as middle person between workers and management.

Administrative Skills:

Track employee attendance and managing work schedules to keep within budget. Monitoring inventory of needed items and placing orders as required, while keeping the overall work environment within budgeting and estimated targets. Evaluate subordinates performance.

Quality Check:

Perform quality and finishing check for every item before leaving the atelier for delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Receive complaints and resolve problems
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
  • Prepare and submit performance reports
  • Decide on reward and promotion based on performance
  • Train new employees
  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises

Requirements

  • Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role in fashion design.
  • Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
  • Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Diploma/Certificate fashion design
  • Diploma / Certificate in management or relevant discipline will be considered an advantage
  • Must have worked in factory for mass production
